H.R.2929 'Securely Protect Yourself Against Cyber Trespass Act'

"To protect users of the Internet from unknowing transmission of their personally identifiable information through spyware programs, and for other purposes."
SPY Act H.R. 2929 introduced by Congresswoman Mary Bono (R-Ca). passed the house on 10/5/2004. Received by the Senate, October 6th, 2004.

S.2145 SPY BLOCK

On February 26th, 2004, U.S. Senators Conrad Burns (R-Mont.), Ron Wyden (D-Ore.), and Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), introduced the SPYBLOCK Act (s.2145) to prohibit spyware, adware, and other invasive software from being secretly installed on Americans’ computers.
